GFA addresses media on 7 February

GFA president Kurt Simeon-Okraku, along with executive council members, general secretary Prosper Harrison Addo and key officials, will engage with the media during this session

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has scheduled an interactive session with the media for Wednesday, 7th February 2024, at the prestigious Lancaster Hotel in Kumasi.

GFA president Kurt Simeon-Okraku, along with executive council members, general secretary Prosper Harrison Addo and key officials, will engage with the media during this session.

This marks the first public appearance of the GFA since the senior national men’s football team’s (the Black Stars) early exit from the AFCON.

The GFA has already taken action, including the dismissal of head coach Chris Hughton and the dissolution of the national team’s technical staff.

In recognition of the team’s underwhelming performance, the GFA also issued a public apology to the Ghanaian populace.

However, not everyone is satisfied with the GFA’s response. Influential sports journalsits, including Saddick Adams, Veronica Commey and Patrick Osei Agyemang, have been expressing their discontent.

They are set to organise a demonstration against the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS) on 14 February, 2024.
