The youth of Gambaga in the North East Region have called on the security agencies to undertake a full-scale investigation to unravel the circumstances that led to the killing of two young men in the Bawku area on Tuesday (27 December).
The youth said the young men, identified as Iddrisu Issifu and Baba Razak, were on a business trip to deliver a horse to a businessman in Kulungugu when they were attacked near Bugri and gruesomely murdered.
The youth have condemned the killing, adding that the attack on the natives was complete disrespect to the people of Gambaga and the Mamprugu Kingdom who have always preached peace.
The youth are, therefore, urging the security agencies to seriously look into the killing and unravel the faces behind the cruel act to face the full rigours of the law.

CONCERN GAMBAGA YOUTH CONDEMNS IN ALL CERTAINTY THE KILLINGS OF TWO NATIVES OF GAMBAGA BY KUSAASI’S AT BUGRI CORNER.
GOOD EVENING MEMBERS OF THE PRESS, PERMIT ME TO STAND ON ALL EXISTING PROTOCOLS WITH A HEAVY HEART AS WE HOLD THIS PRESS.
EARLIER THIS MORNING, TWO YOUNG MEN (IDDRISU ISSIFU KNOWN AS NDIISSU AND BABA RAZAK ALSO KNOWN AS TARSHI) WHO ARE NATIVES OF GAMBAGA (LUMAN FONGU) WERE ON A BUSINESS JOURNEY TO BAWKU ON A MOTORKING TO DELIVER A HORSE TO A BUSANGA BUSINESS BUYER CALLED WUNAABA BASED IN KULUNGUGU.
THESE TWO YOUNGMEN MET THEIR UNTIMELY DEATH WITH MACHETES ATTACK IN A GRUESOME MANNER AT A COMMUNITY IN OR AROUND BUGRI CORNER.
THE BODY OF NDIISU HAS SINCE BEEN DEPOSITED AT THE BAWKU PRESBY HOSPITAL LATER THIS AFTERNOON BY SECURITY AGENCIES.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN OF THE PRESS AND MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC, THE MAMPRUSIS WITHIN THE GAMBAGA AND THE ENTIRE KINGDOM SEE THIS AS A CLEAR CASE OF DISRESPECT TO US.
THESE IDIOTS HAVE EXTENDED THEIR BEHAVIOUR TO PERSONS THEY SHOULDN’T HAVE ATTEMPED. OUR BROTHERS IN BAWKU HAVE SUFFERED ENOUGH INTIMIDATION AND WE ARE QUITE TILL DATE NOT BECAUSE OF FEAR BUT WE RESPECT AND BELIVE IN THE RULE OF LAW AND ONLY SEE THEM AS EXIBITING THEIR IGNORACE ON ISSUES THEY HAVE NO CLUE ON SO LONG AS CHIEFTAINCY IN BAWKU IS CONCERN.
WE ARE ALSO RIDING ON THE PATIENCE OF THE GREAT PYTHON (NAA BOHAGU ABDULAI MAHAMI SHERIGA DE II) AND THE CONTINOUS HAVEN OF OUR GREAT KING AND RULER OF MAMPRUGU KINGDOM AND BEYOND.
WE ARE CALLING ON THE SECURITY AGENCIES TO IMMEDIALY LOOK INTO THE MATTER AND BRING THE PERPERTIATORS OF THIS ACT TO BOOK OR ELSE WE WILL HAVE NO OPTION THAN TO INFORMING ALL KUSAASI’S LEAVING IN GAMBAGA AND ITS SURROUNDINGS TO START PARKING OUT WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT BECAUSE THEY DON’T DESERVE THE PEACE AND HARMONY THEY HAVE ENJOYED FOR THE PAST DECADE.
THE KUSAASI’S AND FOR THAT MATTER ALL THE MINORITY TRIBES HAVE BEEN HERE IN GAMBAGA FOR A VERY LONG TIME AND WE HAVE COME TO THE CONLUSION THAT, THEY (KUSAASI’S) HAVE BITTEN MORETHAN THEY CAN CHEW.
