2Face opens up about struggles as a father, pledges to do better

2face/2Baba

Legendary Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Face or 2Baba, has admitted that he has not been as present as he would like in his children’s lives.

The Afrobeat icon, who is a father of eight from four different women, made the revelation during a recent episode of the Mic On podcast hosted by Seun Okinbaloye.

2Baba acknowledged the importance of being a hands-on father and said he intends to improve his role in raising his children.

“I want to really contribute to society positively. I want to be among those who make something meaningful happen. I want to contribute my own little quota to help society.

“I have not been the best daddy. I want to do more. However, privacy is very important,” he said.

The singer has two children with his first partner, Sumbo Ajaba-Adeoye, three with his second, Pero Adeniyi, two with his ex-wife Annie Macaulay, and one with his current wife, Natasha Osawaru.

Despite the challenges of juggling a large family and a high-profile career, 2Face stressed the need for privacy while reaffirming his commitment to being a better father.
