I expect Adwoa Safo to write formal apology letter to NPP, says Asiedu Kokuro

The deputy communications director of the NPP wants Dome-Kwabenya MP to offer a formalised apology to the leadership of the party

A deputy communications director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Asiedu Kokuro says he expects the Member of Parliament for the Dome-Kwabenya constituency Sarah Adwoa Safo to write a formal apology letter to the leadership of the party.

In a viral video on Thursday (14 September), Adwoa Safo offered an unqualified apology to the leadership of the NPP, President Akufo-Addo and her constituents for her recent behavior.

The Dome-Kwabenya MP clarified that her actions were unintended and were due to personal challenges she was grappling with.

Speaking on the Big Bulletin with Andy Sepah on Thursday (14 September), Kokuro said the MPs apology is a good step.

He said this shows the Adwoa Safo is remorseful.

“I think that it is good that she has shown remorse. This public apology subsequently should follow with a written letter to the leadership of the party.”

“There have been concerns by the leadership of the party from parliament, from the constituency. And at the national level there has been certain discussions that took place.”

“… I’m very happy that today she has actually apologised to the party people then maybe she will write officially to the national leadership of the party,” Kokuro said.
