PICTURES: Seven ECG substations in Accra flooded

The latest development could jeopardise power supply to various parts of the Greater Accra Region.

Wednesday (1 May) morning’s downpour caused flooding at seven substations belonging to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) in parts of the Greater Accra Region.

A source at ECG told asasseradio.com that these substations need to properly dry before they can be turned on to supply electricity to the affected areas.

The latest development could could jeopardise power supply to various parts of the Greater Accra Region, the source added.

However, the power distributing company is currently working overnight to avert any challenge to the power supply.

The affected substations include Achimota, Dzorwolo, Burma Camp L, ACBD E, High Street AH, La Trade Fair AJ and Station H basement.
