Akufo-Addo to cut sod for construction of MIIF technical training centre in Tarkwa

The training center will consist of a modern jewellery making department supported by AI technology, 500-seater auditorium and a library

President Akufo-Addo is expected to the sod for the construction of the MIIF UMaT Technical Training Centre in Tarkwa in the Western Region.

The training center will consist of a modern jewellery making department supported by AI technology, 500-seater auditorium and a library.

This training centre will go a long way in closing the gap between the skill set required and the value addition projected in our mining industry.

The project is to be completed within the next nine months.

The event is expected to be graced by some dignitaries including the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor, Finance Minister Dr Mohammed Amin Adam and Education Minister Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum.

The chief executive officer of MIIF, Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng said the gesture forms part of the institution’s corporate social responsibility.
